Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Zanussi Refrigerator.
Installation and Location
Ensure the refrigerator is installed in a well-ventilated, dry room with ambient temperatures between 10-32 °C. Avoid placing it near heat sources like boilers or radiators to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
External Cleaning
Wash the outer cabinet using warm soapy water. Dust the condenser and compressor at the back with a brush or vacuum cleaner once or twice a year to maintain efficiency and prevent excessive electricity consumption.
Internal Cleaning
Clean the inside with warm water and bicarbonate of soda (5 ml to 0.5 liters of water). Avoid using detergents, abrasive powders, highly perfumed cleaning products, wax polishes, or products containing bleach or alcohol.
Defrosting the Freezer
Use the special plastic scraper provided to remove frost whenever it reaches 1/4 inch in thickness. For complete defrosting, perform the process once or twice a year when the appliance is empty. During this operation, it is not necessary to switch off the power supply.
Energy Saving Advice
Place the appliance in a cool, well-ventilated room and ensure that the air openings are unobstructed. This will help in reducing energy consumption and maintaining the efficiency of the refrigerator.
